The Alice M. The Armed Forces offers soldiers, sailors, marines, guardsman, and airmen several programs to support their education goals including up to 100% Tuition Assistance for college courses taken during off-duty hours. Great Bay Community College is approved for veterans under the Veterans Adjustment Act (GI Bill) the Veterans Educational Program (VEAP), the Montgomery GI Bill, and Dependents Educational Assistance Program. Qualified enrolled veterans and their dependents may receive monthly financial benefits as full-time and part-time students. The Medallion Fund was created by a group of area businessmen who recognize that a skilled workforce is critical for expanding economic development. The Jack Kent Cooke Foundation’s programs are designed to encourage and support outstanding students who work hard and have financial need. The Undergraduate Transfer Scholarship is specifically for current students with sophomore status (seniors at Great Bay Community College) or recent graduates, to support their transfer to a Bachelor’s Degree program.
Who is eligible?
The NHHEAF Network Scholarship is an annual scholarship program created to support eligible New Hampshire residents in covering the cost of tuition and reducing the need for college borrowing. The scholarship program is open to New Hampshire Residents who are sophomores, juniors and seniors in college; it offers a range of scholarships, targeted at students who have demonstrated a commitment to either Community Service, Leadership, or Academic Excellence. The program also includes an “Opportunity Scholarship,” available to first-generation college students.
Eligibility Requirements:
- NH Resident, although may attend college out-of-state
- Enrolled in college at least half-time
- Be a returning undergraduate student (non-freshman) in Fall
- Demonstration of financial need (see details below)
- GPA of 2.5 or higher at the time of application
